Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana Powder VS MAC Emphasize powder

The most famous highlighting powders from both brands. Banana is yellow-ish powder where Emphasize is a strike white powder. Which one is better? When to use each?

I own both of them and I spent quiet good time with each. I have to set my concealer or it will crease as hell.

According to the sizes, Mac powder is larger pan than Banana powder. 

You can notice the difference in colors. I used to use MAC Emphasize all the time but once I got the Banana powder I started switching between both of them as follows:

- Day time : Banana Powder 

- Night Time: Emphasize Powder

- Day Time Noticeable Highlight: Extra Banana Powder with little bit of Emphasize Powder

- Night Time Brightening : Extra Emphasize with little bit of Banana Powder

My philosophy is that it is hard to wear white powder through day time in the sun. I shows like you are wearing tons of highlighting powder, however, when using the banana powder, the yellow tone in it set the under eye area with no noticeable/disco ball highlighting effect. It gives the brightening effect, like yo had good sleep. 

When it comes to night time smoky eye make up, nothing is better than a highlighted under eye area. It compliments the look. That is why I use the Emphasize Powder.

Now, some of the looks require noticeable highlight even in the day time, that is when I mix Banana with Emphasize focusing on Banana mostly. And when I need more brightening effect in the night time I mix both of them focusing more on the Emphasize Powder.

I also noticed that the MAC Powder is chunkier than the ABHs'. And I happen to pick up good amount of the Emphasize Powder on my brush with one swirl than the Banana Powder as I have to go back to the Banana Pan and pick more product to set my under eye. I basically need more swirls with the Banana Powder.

If I had to choose one of them, I would go for the Banana Powder. It does the setting job very well and gives enough brightening effect.
