My DIY Scrub before using self tanners
I use sunless tanners very often as I originally have very fair skin - no problem with having fair skin at all - but I like the bronze glow so I fake tan.
You have to scrub your body very well before self tanning as sunless tanners have the ability to attach to dry skin and develop more color. As a result you will end up with too many patches that are darker than your bronzed final color.
To avoid that we have to scrub, I do my own body scrub. It is organic and more beneficial to my skin as I am avoiding chemicals.
The ingredients you need as follows:
I mix both olive and coconut oil - Olive oil is good for radiance and coconut oil is good for hydration-. Then I put the brown sugar and make sure that it does not completely dissolve in the oil - sugar particles are meant to be the scrubbing beads- so if it vanished add more sugar to the mixture until you can feel the sugar in the oil. Third step is optional but I usually put a teaspoon of Almond Oil as it nourishes the skin beautifully,
I soak in the the warm water for around 15 minuets before applying the scrub. This will help in removing the dead skin faster.
I apply the scrub all over my body and with circular motions I scrub off all dead skin.
Do not apply moisturizer after showering as it avoids the self tanners from sticking to your skin.
I hope you found this helpful..
Until Next Time..
